Asphalt Paving
We offer new installation of driveways, parking lots, and private roads customized to fit your needs best. We also resurface existing asphalt to protect and brighten old, faded surfaces. Every job starts with a proper base, because what goes underneath decides how long the surface lasts.
Asphalt Sealing
Seal coating is important to asphalt, just as paint or stain is to untreated wood. Asphalt is porous. The sealer creates a barrier against water, gas, and oil leaks, which can soften asphalt. Applied on a regular cycle, it keeps a surface flexible and holds its color instead of fading to gray.
Rubberized Crack Filling
Crack filling is a lifelong battle in New England due to the frost. We use a hot rubber tar that goes into the cracks to seal them and protects them from retaining water and causing further damage. Filling cracks early is the cheapest way to add years to a driveway before resurfacing becomes the only option.
Groundwork & Landscaping
Ground work and landscaping are important when laying asphalt to mitigate water damage, which can cause heaving and cracks. We offer everything from loaming edges to entirely rebuilding your lawn. An exposed edge of asphalt is a weak point and should have loam or gravel level to strengthen it. We grade the surrounding ground so runoff moves away from the pavement instead of pooling along its edges.

Frequently Asked Questions
Most residential driveways are prepped, graded and paved within a single working day. Larger private roads and parking lots are scheduled across two or three days depending on square footage and how much groundwork the base needs first.
Stay off the surface for at least 24 hours, and keep heavy vehicles off for the first few days. In hot weather, new asphalt stays soft longer, so we will tell you on site exactly when it is ready.
Every two to three years for most Maine driveways. Sealer creates a barrier against water, gas and oil leaks, all of which soften asphalt, and it brings faded surfaces back to a deep black.
Yes. It goes down cold, lasts up to ten years and costs about a third of the price of regular asphalt. It is excellent for long roads or driveways, especially in the spring, to help people get out of the mud.
We do. Ground work and landscaping mitigate the water damage that causes heaving and cracks. We handle everything from loaming edges to entirely rebuilding your lawn around the new surface.
We measure the area, look at drainage and the condition of the existing base, then give you a written price for the work. The owner is on site for every job, so the person quoting is the person supervising.
We work from Belfast to Wiscasset and out to Freeport, MDI, Ellsworth, Bangor, Albion, China and Boothbay. Call the office if you are just outside that range and we will let you know.
Every job is backed by our name and our owner’s on-site supervision. If something is not right, we come back and make it right. We will walk the finished surface with you before we leave the site.
